Service &
Warranty
1. Warranty
PŌRTAL warrants that the product is free from manufacturing defects at the time of delivery. The warranty period is 24 months from the delivery date unless otherwise agreed in writing. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal ageing, natural movement of wood, weathering, misuse or insufficient maintenance.
2. Solid wood
Every sauna is built from solid wood. Wood is a living material. Colour variation, knots, grain differences, surface checking, resin bleed, seasonal movement and small dimensional changes are natural characteristics and are not considered defects.
3. Weather exposure
The products are designed for outdoor use. Exposure to sunlight, rain, snow, frost, humidity, wind and seasonal temperature changes will naturally affect the appearance of the materials over time. Development of patina, colour change and weathering are expected characteristics.
4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is required. Maintenance intervals depend on location, climate and exposure. Failure to follow the Care & Maintenance guide may affect the warranty.
5. Foundation
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the foundation meets the required specifications unless PŌRTAL has been contracted to provide foundation work. Damage resulting from inadequate foundations is not covered.
6. Installation
The customer is responsible for ensuring that site access matches the agreed delivery conditions. Additional transport, lifting or installation costs resulting from inaccessible sites are charged separately.
7. Electrical
Final electrical connection must be carried out by a licensed electrician. Electrical work performed by third parties is outside PŌRTAL's warranty.
8. Heating equipment
Heaters, control units and electrical components are covered by the respective manufacturer's warranty where applicable.
9. Glass
Minor optical variations, reflections and manufacturing tolerances are normal. Glass breakage after delivery is not covered.
10. Moisture
Saunas are designed to handle repeated heating and cooling cycles. Standing water, prolonged moisture exposure caused by insufficient ventilation or improper use is not covered.
11. Natural characteristics
The following are considered normal: • Wood movement • Small surface cracks • Resin bleed • Knots • Colour variation • Patina • Hairline checking • Seasonal expansion and contraction These characteristics do not affect the structural integrity of the product.
12. Service
